There’s less than two weeks left until the Hands-On Pulp and Paper Basics Workshop, held Monday, March 11 – Friday, March 15 at NC State University in Raleigh, NC.
This unique hands-on introductory level workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to master the basic concepts in pulp and paper manufacturing. Participants will be provided with a broad overview of pulping, bleaching, chemical recovery, recycling, papermaking and converting.
Participants will have the opportunity to run a pilot-plant paper machine, have close interaction with pulp and paper professionals and find out how different processes affect paper properties. The course will consist of presentations each morning followed by hands-on laboratory and pilot-plant exercises every afternoon.
Participants will receive a set of course notes, lab manuals and have access to the lecture files via the internet. The registration fee will include a notebook, a dinner banquet and lunches on all five days.
