TAPPI Standards Department Maintains ANSI Certification

The TAPPI Standards Department received notification from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) that they have successfully completed the latest Standards Guidelines revision and audit, thanks to the efforts and dedication of the Quality and Standards Management Committee (Q&SMC) Audit Task Force.
The Standards Department first achieved ANSI accreditation 2009 and undergoes an audit every five years to maintain the certification. In preparation for the most recent audit, Q&SMC members and Standards staff carefully reviewed the internal processes and the Standards Guidelines documentation which resulted in streamlined internal processes, and a major revision to the Standards Guidelines.
A final draft of the TAPPI Standards Regulations and Guidelines was approved by Q&SMC and ANSI for the final step of reaccreditation in December 2023. All volunteers are now able to access the TAPPI Standards Regulations and Guidelines on the TAPPI website.
