Papeteries des Vosges et du Leman group (PVL) has announced plans to double the capacity of its Primabake parchment paper to approximately 65,000 metric tons per year by the end of 2027. PVL said the capacity boost is necessary to meet the increasing demand for parchment paper in baking applications.

According to PVL, the capacity expansion will be achieved by increasing the production capacity of Primabake on the PM62 machine in Publier (Evian, French Alps), and through enhanced collaboration with Papeterie des Vosges (PDV). PDV, located in Laval-sur-Vologne (Vosges Mountain, France), specializes in light specialty papers and is the sister company of Papeteries du Leman (PDL).

Both paper companies are part of PVL Holdings.

Primabake is a premium, eco-friendly, and PFAS1-free baking paper used by a growing number of brand owners and private label manufacturers worldwide.

"The qualification of Primabake manufactured at PDV, among select customers, was successfully completed earlier this year," stated Hervé Brunet-Jailly, product manager for Primabake. "Primabake is renowned for its performance and unique sustainable attributes. To better serve our customers and ensure a reliable supply, producing identical paper at both locations was essential."
