Suzano S.A., a leading global player in the pulp and paper industry, has announced the upcoming departure of Marcelo Feriozzi Bacci, the company's longstanding Executive Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations.

The resignation will be effective on November 30, 2024.

After over a decade of service, Mr. Bacci is recognized for his instrumental role in guiding Suzano’s financial strategy, strengthening its capital discipline, and navigating significant investment cycles. Under his financial stewardship, Suzano reinforced its financial stability and maintained a prudent leverage level, contributing to the company’s robust financial standing in the industry.

To succeed Mr. Bacci, the Board of Directors has appointed Marcos Moreno Chagas Assumpção, currently the Director of Financial Planning and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Mr. Assumpção joined Suzano in January 2022, bringing extensive expertise in finance from his prior roles at Itaú BBA and Bank of America - Merrill Lynch, with a particular focus on the pulp and paper sector.

With over 25 years in financial management, Mr. Assumpção has led key financial functions within Suzano, including Treasury, Fundraising, Credit, and M&A. The Board expresses confidence in his capability to continue driving Suzano’s financial performance and strategic growth, ensuring a smooth transition for the company’s stakeholders.
