RunEco Vacuum System has started up at Felix Schoeller Günzach PM14. The delivery included an EP600 Turbo Blower with EcoDrop and EcoSep Water Separators. EcoFlow Dewatering Measurement Systems with 8 measurement points help in determining the correct vacuum level and optimizing energy consumption.
“With the rebuilding of the vacuum system, Günzach team now has great new tools to boost their process. The Turbo Blower has reduced energy consumption substantially. Additionally, the capacity of the whole system was increased a lot. EcoFlows now show what is happening in the forming and press sections regarding dewatering. These tools will give great chances to improve efficiency of the production line while targeting an increase of product quality stability,” says Jelle Schuivens, Sales Manager, Runtech Systems.
Switching to EP Turbo Blowers is a game-changer in energy efficiency. In numerous rebuild projects, energy savings of 40-70% have been achieved when compared to traditional vacuum systems. Energy efficiency, a key feature of the solution, comes from both turbo technology itself, and the ability to measure water removal and adjust the vacuum to the optimal level.
The EP Turbo Blower's water-free design not only reduces water and chemical consumption within the vacuum system but also eliminates the need for water-related equipment like cooling towers and circulating pumps. Cooling towers require monitoring and in certain countries, regular auditing for the cleanliness and absence of (biologically) harmful contaminants, such as legionella bacteria. This can result in an increasing amount of paperwork, and in higher costs by more demanding cleaning actions and chemical or biocide usage.
