JMC Paper Tech Commissions Its First Paper Mill in Mexico

Balaji JMC Paper Mill is proud to announce the inauguration of its 200 TPD Kraft test liner paper mill in Ciudad Juárez, marking a historic milestone in the global paper industry. This pioneering venture by JMC Paper Tech Pvt Ltd, a leading manufacturer of pulp and paper machinery in India, represents the first-ever Indian paper mill in Mexico and the first paper mill within Ciudad Juárez. This trailblazing collaboration unites expertise and investment from three countries—India, Mexico, and the USA— symbolizing an enduring partnership across continents.

The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Ambassador Dr. Pankaj Sharma, the Ambassador of India to Mexico; Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuellar of Ciudad Juárez; Dr. Oscar Ibanez, Representative of the Governor of Chihuahua; Mr. Oscar Lesser, Mayor of El Paso; and around 500 other esteemed guests, including customers and partners from across the world. Their presence underscored the significance of this monumental project for regional development and international collaboration. Ambassador Dr. Pankaj Sharma, in his address, stated:

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to JMC Paper Tech for establishing their operations here in Ciudad Juárez. As the first Indian company in the paper manufacturing sector to invest in Mexico, JMC has demonstrated remarkable vision and commitment. This venture not only signifies the company’s growth but also underscores the increasing confidence Indian enterprises have in the Mexican market. Your investment is a testament to the strong industrial capabilities of India and the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our nation’s businesses to explore and succeed in global markets.”

The ceremony began with a press conference featuring an esteemed panel of Dias members, including:

  • Ambassador Dr. Pankaj Sharma, the Ambassador of India to Mexico
  • Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuellar of Ciudad Juárez
  • Mr. Rajni Patel, Chairman & Managing Director of JMC Paper Tech Pvt Ltd
  • Dr. Yesha Patel, CEO of Balaji JMC Paper Mill
  • Dr. Oscar Ibanez, Representative of the Governor of Chihuahua
  • Mr. Hector Miguez Samaniego Gamez, Representative of the Governor of Chihuahua
  • Mr. Oscar Lesser, Mayor of El Paso
  • Mr. Jerry Pacheco, President of the Border Industrial Association
  • Mr. Yash Patel, Director of Manufacturing of Balaji
  • Mr. Parth Patel, Director of Logistics of Balaji

The press conference highlighted the significance of this project for regional and global industrial growth. Following the conference, the dignitaries performed a ceremonial ribboncutting to mark the official inauguration of the paper mill. This was followed by a traditional Indian candle-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the commencement of a bright and prosperous future.
