Chris Liddell, former CFO of International Paper Co., Memphis, Tenn., and CEO of Carter Holt Harvey of New Zealand, and most recently Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft's top finance executive, has been named vice chairman and CFO of General Motors Co., Detroit, Mich. Liddell assumed his new position at the first of this year.
