A new labor agreement this week between the Swedish Forest Industries Federation and the Swedish Paper Workers Union ended a 10-day strike that impacted six mills in Sweden that began April 16. The strike began over a wage dispute and affected the SCA Munksund, Iggesund, Korsnäs Gävle, Stora Enso Skoghall, Billerud Skärblacka, and Södra Cell Värö. More than 3,000 union members took part in the strike.The new agreement reportedly is for 22 months, giving workers a 3.3% pay increase.
