To compile the list, FORTUNE and its partner, The Hay Group, surveyed some 15,000 senior executives, outside directors, and other major non-U.S. companies and financial analysts. Those surveyed rated companies on innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, and quality of products/services.
Last week, Weyerhaeuser also learned it was included in Corporate Responsibility magazine's 100 Best Corporate Citizens List for 2011 and awarded the Sustainable Asset Management 2011 Bronze Class distinction for corporate sustainability performance in "The Sustainability Yearbook 2011."
