U.S. January Boxboard Production up 8.5% over December
Total U.S. boxboard production decreased by 4.3% compared with January 2011, but increased 8.5% over last month, according to AF&PA's (Washington, D.C., USA) January 2012 U.S. Paperboard Report published this week. Highlights of the report include:
- Unbleached kraft folding production increased over the same month last year, and increased compared with last month
- Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production decreased compared with January 2011, but increased compared with last month
- The production of recycled folding decreased compared with January 2011, but increased compared with last month
- The inventory of solid bleached kraft paperboard decreased from a year ago.
