A team of TAPPI experts from the Yankee Dryer Safety and Reliability Committee has volunteered to develop a TAPPI TIP (Technical Information Paper) on dryer safety valves. Valve requirements are not commonly understood and proper application can lead to a more productive, efficient, and safe dryer section. On the contrary, improperly applied or defective valves can be a huge risk for injury or unplanned downtime.
