BillerudKorsnäs Changes Group Management to Focus on Profitable Growth
At its Capital Market Days in November, BillerudKorsnäs, Solna Sweden, presented a clear focus on profitable growth in its various business areas going forward. To meet these expectations, the composition of the Group’s Senior Management Team (SMT) has changed somewhat. At the same time, an Extended Management Team (EMT) was established, with a continued focus on integration and coordination of production/market.
Ulf Eliasson takes up the post of SVP of consumer board and Christer Simrén, who formerly headed both consumer board and operations, will now focus exclusively on the responsibilities of COO and operations. As Eliasson takes over as SVP of consumer board, Magnus Kangas becomes mill manager at Gävle. In addition, Henrik Essen assumes the role of SVP of communications and sustainability. SMT therefore consists of the following members:
- Per Lindberg, president and CEO
- Christer Simrén, COO
- Susanne Lithander, CFO
- Ulf Eliasson, SVP of consumer board
- Lennart Eberleh, SVP of containerboard
- Johan Nellbeck, SVP of packaging paper
- Karin Hågfeldt, SVP of HR
- Henrik Essén, SVP of communication and sustainability
- Uno Brinnen, SVP of Forestry
- Magnus Wikström, SVP of Strategic Development.
EMT will include the members of SMT, VP of business support, VP of supply chain, VP of operational excellence, and the mill managers for Finland, Frövi, Gruvön, Gävle, Skärblacka and Karlsborg.
All changes became effective December 1.
