Kwilinski previously spent more than four years as president and CEO of Portola Packaging in Batavia, Ill. Portola, acquired by Silgan Holdings in October, is a manufacturer of stock and custom tamper-evident plastic closures and containers for dairy, juice, and other food segments. Prior to this, Kwilinski was with Graphic Packaging International where he served in numerous leadership roles, including most recently as SVP–supply chain. He also served as director, sales and manufacturing for GPI’s Beverage Division, headquartered in Golden, Colo. He has an extensive background in operations and engineering positions with GPI, James River, and International Paper.
Kwilinski received a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from Greenville College and holds a master’s degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a certified Six Sigma Champion.
Paperworks’ Packaging Group produces specialized folding cartons, serving clients of all sizes across North America from 10 facilities. The Paperboard Group produces approximately 300,000 tons of 100% recycled paperboard annually for a variety of end uses, and further specializes in the cutting and distribution of all paper types according to specific customer needs. The company employs 1,600 workers.
