U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Fall in February

Total U.S. kraft paper shipments in February were 121,600 tons, 5.1% lower than for the prior month, AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) reports in its February 2014 Kraft Paper Report published this week. Bleached kraft paper shipments were 3% lower than January, while unbleached kraft paper shipments were down 5.3%.

Overall, shipments for the first two months of 2014 were 4.5% lower than for the same period last year. Total month-end inventories decreased 8.8% compared with January.
