Double Tree Paper Mills, Gila Bend, Ariz., USA, successfully brought online its new state-of-the-art tissue machine supplied by Andritz (Graz, Austria) this week. The Double Tree Gila Bend Mill produces sanitary tissue as well as a variety of other tissue products. The company recently created additional job positions (such as process engineers) in preparation for the new machine operation. 

The machine has a design speed of 2,100 m/min and a width of 2.6 meters. The yankee dryer is manufactured entirely of steel and has a diameter of 4.8 meters.

Andrtiz supplied the tissue machine on an EPC basis, including the crescent former, the complete stock preparation plant, and all automation systems.
