Menasha Publishes 2014-2015 Social Responsibility / Sustainability Report
Menasha, Neenah, Wis., USA, announced it has published its fifth annual
Corporate Social Responsibility Report earlier this week. The report, released online and published in print available by request, provides data and information on activities and progress related to corporate economic, environmental, and social performance, including updates on GHG emissions, water use, waste, safety, certifications, as well as acquisition and expansion activities.
The 2014-2015 report highlights notable accomplishments from Menasha Corp. subsidiary Menasha Packaging, including:
- Menasha Packaging is meeting the growing needs of consumer products goods companies in North America with the acquisitions of Canada-based PearceWellwood of Brampton and Portable Packaging Systems of Mississauga in the first half of 2015.
- Menasha Packaging increased its output capabilities and improved press speeds at its promotional and print operations in Neenah, Wis. with added space for manufacturing, warehousing and logistics; and consolidated equipment and processes.
- Menasha Packaging achieved significant energy savings and cut chemical use by 70% after two business units teamed up to find a better way to source, purchase and process printing plates for the company's display business.
- Menasha Packaging's Environmental Management Systems (which is a part of the Wisconsin DNR Green Tier Program) documents environmental activities, and has led to increased employee knowledge of recycling and waste management processes and better understanding of the environmental impact of material used to produce Menasha products.
