Cascades Officially Opens Greenpac Mill in Niagara Falls
Cascades Inc., Kingsey Falls, Que., Canada, a producer of green packaging and tissue paper products, this afternoon (September 24) is officially opening its new Greenpac Mill in Niagara Falls, N.Y./, USA. Dignitaries, partners, customers, suppliers, and employees will be on-hand for this much awaited event that will take place at the mill, located at 4400 Royal Ave. in Niagara Falls, at 1:15 pm.

Greenpac is owned by a company created by Cascades, in partnership with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Jamestown Container and Containerboard Partners. Considered the most advanced in its category in North America, Greenpac produces 540,00 tpy of lightweight linerboard from 100% recycled fiber on a single, 328 in. wide Valmet containerboard machine. The project is the result of a $470 million investment.
Founded in 1964, Cascades produces, converts and markets packaging and tissue products that are composed mainly of recycled fibers. The company employs some 11,000 employees, who work in more than 90 production units in North America and Europe.
