Van de Ven Appointed SVP, Innovation at Stora Enso Biomaterials
Stora Enso, Finland, this past week welcomed Arno van de Ven as SVP, Innovation in its Biomaterials division. With more than 25 years’ experience in the chemical industry, van de Vin has worked in the field of bioeconomy and new innovations for several years. He was most recently SVP, Business Development, Biomaterials and Pharma at Corbion Purac before joining Stora Enso in Stockholm, Sweden.
Van de Ven has worked at a range of companies including DSM, Noveon/Goodrich, Ferro Corp., and CSM. He earned his B.S. degree in engineering from Tilburg University in the Netherlands, majoring in business administration and supply chain, and received an MBA from the transnational University Limburg in Belgium.

Stora Enso Biomaterials is a provider of pulp grades to meet the demands of various paper, board, and tissue producers. The offering also includes fluff for hygiene applications and dissolving pulp for the textile industry. The mission of Stora Enso Biomaterials is to find new, innovative ways to maximize the value extractable from wood, as well as other kind of ligno-cellulosic biomasses. Through innovation, the aim is to develop into a cost and performance differentiated renewable biochemical company offering drop-in and new materials into existing and new industries to Stora Enso.
