Drewsen Spezialpapiere Expands Probarrier Greaseproof Papers
Drewsen Spezialpapiere, Germany, has introduced its new Probarrier greaseproof papers for the food industry, and notes that it is set to achieve a sales volume of approximately 3,000 metric tons within the first year. This target, the company says, is due especially to the new product’s exacting quality standards and a continued development of the segment. Drewsen notes that it has become an established supplier for this grade to the market within a very short period of time.
Product developments include the extension of the original product portfolio that ranged from 40 – 160 gsm to now include substances starting from 34 gsm. Drewsen’s barrier papers, with a standard greaseproof range of KIT 7-9, 4-6, 1-3, are now also available on demand with a heat resistance up to 220°C (in accordance with Recommendation BFR XXXVI/2). An important focus remains the development of customized solutions, which include tailored KIT values, special substances, and individual colors and surfaces.
