TAPPI Webinar: Filling your Wet End Chemistry Toolbox Part 4
The Papermaking Additives committee invites you to join
‘Filling your Wet End Chemistry Toolbox’ with Potential Interactions of Wet End Applications. The series is hosted by Dr. PrzemPruszynski, one of the foremost experts in wet end chemistry and Global Technical Specialist in paper chemistry at Nalco. To register for this webinar, visit

Understanding compatibility of chemical applications on paper machine:
Can some of my chemical applications negatively affect each other? Can my wet end chemistry be simplified? Will my sizing program work? What will happen to shade or brightness of paper? These are questions that should be asked every time a new chemical application is considered. In this Webinar we will discuss major types of undesired interactions possible when various chemical applications coexist in papermaking systems. We will discuss potential interactions organized into 3 major groups - chemical, colloidal and physical. Each of these three major groups is then broken down to more specific examples.
Following this classification makes understanding of possible interaction easier and makes a stronger case for holistic approach to wet end chemical applications.
Recordings of previous sessions in the series are available to TAPPI members at TAPPI Webinar Series. Recordings of previous sessions in the series, which included Fundamentals and Retention Programs, are available to TAPPI members the
TAPPI Webinar Series page. Upcoming topics include Stability & Potential Incompatibilities.
