Job Description:
- R&D Chemist will perform laboratory-based experiments according to company protocols, develop new methods and procedures, and perform data analysis.
- R&D Chemist is responsible for identifying the technical challenges to applying EDT’s technology for specific customers, for providing technical answers and implementing them at the customer’s facility.
- R&D Chemist will work closely with other members of EDT's product management, production, and management on issues relating to the development of products and the ongoing provisioning of technical service.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Gather information and identify technical issues for customer/EDT
- Perform laboratory evaluations of EDT’s products and help identify the best solutions
- Perform lab experiments aimed at better understanding and improved application of EDT products
- Perform data analysis of a mill’s performance and correlate cause and effect to understand EDT technology’s impact
- Develop laboratory methods and procedures that lead toward improved application development
- Be flexible to support the varied needs of a growing company.

Job Qualifications:
- Technical undergraduate degree required: chemistry, enzymology, pulp and paper science, biology or other life science degrees
- 1 to 3 years of chemistry laboratory experience in an industrial setting
- Experience in a position where individual gained knowledge of pulp and paper mills or other plant operations is beneficial.
