Lee Elected to Crown Holdings BOD
Crown Holdings Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., USA, this week announced that manufacturing industry executive Rose Lee has been elected to the company's board of directors. The board now has 13 members.
Lee is president of DuPont Protection Solutions, a global business segment of E.I. duPont de Nemours and Co., which includes four business units with 15 manufacturing sites, four joint ventures and 5,000 employees worldwide. The segment manufactures and distributes notable DuPont brands such as Tyvek®, Kevlar® and Corian®.
Prior to joining DuPont in 2015, Lee spent 15 years with Saint-Gobain in a number of general management, strategic planning, and information technology roles, each with increasing responsibility. Most recently, she served as VP, Innovative Materials Sector, between 2010 and 2015. Prior to joining Saint-Gobain, she held various engineering and management positions at Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies company, where she worked on projects ranging from implementing lean manufacturing to designing a 3-D turbine for aircraft jet engines. She was also a senior consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton in New York City.
Lee earned her B.S. degree in aerospace engineering at Cornell University, a M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a M.B.A. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She served as a member of the Economic Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Inc. and is a member of the Forum of Executive Women in Philadelphia.
