Domtar Landowners' Highly-Sustainaible Practices Draw PBS Coverage

An article published Tuesday (September 20) by 3BL News, Northampton, Mass., USA, it's people who secure the room for healthy forests that are also productive for responsibly sourced papermaking. Domtar’s sustainable forestry work is reported here to be featured in an upcoming episode of the PBS series This American Land. A press release by PBS describes the show as being the leading conservation news program that reports on critical issues affecting America’s natural landscapes, waters, and wildlife.

"This compelling clip is a testament to the work that Domtar and its partners are doing to maintain the integrity of America’s forests," the narration reports when the show's hosts visit the papermaker and packaging producers timber source and meet those who own the land where it grows.

3BL said the program features content that includes hearing from small landowners in Arkansas – the "wood basket of the world" – who are passionate about maintaining their forests as a legacy for future generations. In the words of one sustainable tree farmer, "My first memory of being in the forest is when we would come to visit my grandmother. The honor and respect that I have for the forest – this is something that my family has done for generations."
