Caraustar Industries Inc., Austell, Ga., USA, this week announced that prices on its paper tube, core, and protective packaging product lines will increase by at least 8%, effective with shipments on or after Feb. 17, 2017. The increase, according to Caraustar, is required to recover escalating costs, including paperboard and other raw materials.

Caraustar Industries is an integrated producer of 100% recycled paperboard and converted paperboard products. The company serves the four principal recycled boxboard product end-use segments—tubes and cores, folding cartons, gypsum facing paper, and specialty paperboard products.
