Smurfit Kappa, Ireland, reports that it intends to increase prices for brown kraftliner across all European markets (including the U.K., Ireland, and the Mediterranean region) by EUR 50 per metric ton, beginning May 1, 2017.

The company said that the increase is driven by strong demand.
