China’s BCTMP (bleached chemi-thermomechanical pulp)-based coated cartonboard exports surged to an all-time record high in May 2017. The following graph, based on data by the China Customs Bureau, tracks China’s exports of coated cartonboard from 2008 through May 2017, with the thin line showing BCTMP-based cartonboard.
