Kemira, Finland, will implement a price increase of 5% for all silicone emulsion defoamer products as well as an increase of up to 25% for silicone concentrate defoamer products sold for use in the pulp and paper market in the Americas.

These adjustments will be effective Oct, 1, 2017, or as contract terms allow. This price adjustment is the result of continued escalation of costs within the silicone fluid supply chain. Silicone fluids are key raw materials for producing silicone defoamer products.
