Experts Present Solutions for Improving Strength and Productivity at PaperCon 2018
Finding new strength solutions as well as improving operational efficiencies and cost savings are key goals for many mills today. PaperCon 2018 offers paper and packaging professionals multiple sessions that focus on innovative strength technologies as well as new sustainability and recycling initiatives.
The Papermaking Additives Track features three sessions focused on strength technologies: Dry Strength, Wet Strength, and Natural. Expert-led presentations within each session include such topics as Wet Strength Overview, a Novel Kraft Liner Retention and Drainage Polymer, New Strength Solutions for Packaging Grades, a Multi-Functional Polymer Additive for Improved Strength and Productivity, Regulatory and Sustainability Initiatives that Lead to Improved PAE Wet Strength Resins and Paper Products, and Production of Pulps with an Extremely High Fines Content for Use as a Strength Agent.
The track will also follow a new format offering sessions on the basic core additives group (sizing, wet stream, enzymes, mixing, and brightness) presented by world class experts. Each session will start with a brief tutorial or refresher and then lead into new advances and innovations. The track will also include its popular wrap-up roundtable session.
PaperCon, the world’s largest technical conference for the paper and packaging industry, will take place on April 15-18, 2018, in Charlotte, N.C., USA. Paper and packaging professionals from more than 23 different countries will gather to share and discuss new technologies, best practices, and key issues affecting the industry.
