Nonwovens 101 Benefits Both Industry Newcomers and Professionals
Both Newcomers and Seasoned Professionals Benefit from NETInc’s Nonwovens 101 Tutorial.
Offered Tuesday, April 17, 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., the tutorial addresses sector basics such as fibers, processes and applications, as well as specific sectors including filtration, binders and additives. It also focuses on how the sustainability field can enhance the industry.
The tutorial was designed to meet the needs of both newcomers to the industry as well as seasoned professionals seeing a refresher and will be led by Texas Tech University’s Seshadri Ramkumar, Ph.D. with contributions from the Binders, Additives, and Minerals Committee, the Filtration and Separation Committee, and the Fibers Materials Processing & Characterization Committee. According to Dr. Ramkumar, Nonwovens is a fast-growing sector within the textile industry. Historically it has experienced a growth rate greater than the GDP increases of some nations. Multidisciplinary in nature, Nonwovens lends itself to workforces from different specialties. NETInc’s development of this tutorial was in response to the growing need for more educational resources addressing key industry topics.
