PaperCon’s Coating & Graphic Arts track addresses key challenges currently facing the industry. Its sessions take a close look at sustainability with multiple presentations highlighting new applications, technologies and products. Attendees can participate in a sustainability panel discussion with panelists from Michelman, Foodservice Packaging Institute, Biodegradable Products Institute, and Domtar. The track also includes sessions on diverse films and coatings, UV and digital ink innovations, advanced coating operations, and other advanced coating topics. May 4th from 8:00am – 6:00pm and May 5th from 8:30am – 3:30pm
Coating and other professionals also have unique opportunity to attend a course on coating fundamentals prior to the start of PaperCon. This course will address topics critical to the understanding of coating including an overview of coated paper and paperboard grades; properties of coating base stock and paperboard being coated; coating application technologies and machinery; testing of coated and printed paper; and much more.
