UK corrugated cardboard producer Ablebox has unveiled plans to create some 50 new jobs at its new factory in Henstridge. “Our manufacturing and technical capability has developed significantly in recent years,” said Jack Lloyd, the managing director of Ablebox, as quoted by local news site Somersetlive.co.uk.
The producer invested some £7 million (US$9 million) in establishing a new production facility. A spokesperson for Ablebox said that the factory “incorporates a high-speed, cutting-edge corrugator, which once fully operational will produce in excess of 100 million square meters of corrugated card-board per year.”
