UWSP College of Natural Resources Seeks Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering
UWSP College of Natural Resources is searching for an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering in or willing to work in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
The College of Natural Resources (CNR) has a full time (9-month), tenure track, academic year teaching (100%) position available in the Department of Paper Science and Chemical Engineering. Opportunities exist for involvement in research, outreach and international programs to meet University scholarship and service requirements.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide undergraduate instruction (12 credits per semester) in chemical/process engineering courses (such as fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, etc.) Primary interface with targeted accounts for business development
- Assist undergraduate development of technical expertise associated with local industries such as pulp and paper and/or biofuels.
- Undergraduate advising and contribution to College and University governance. Execute new market opportunities by cross selling and upselling new features
- Faculty members are expected to accomplish a record of scholarly achievement in their field of interest to complement teaching responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Have or be near completion of a Ph.D. the area of chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, biochemical engineering, or paper engineering by the date of appointment. The relevant engineering related Ph.D. is required prior to the first retention decision.
- Experience in and desire to work with diverse populations of learners and stakeholders is required.
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Teaching experience.
- Experience with environmental regulations and compliance.
- Experience with the pulp and paper industry.
- Demonstrate a clear potential to develop effective teaching skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and
- Strong commitment to student learning and professional development.
