MiniFIBERS Inc. Seeks Technical Sales Representative
MiniFIBERS Inc. is searching for a Technical Sales Representative for its Johnson City, Tennessee, USA location. MiniFIBERS, Inc. is a manufacturer and marketer of specialty fiber products to the specialty paper, filtration, textile, coatings, adhesives, sealants, composites and construction markets around the world.
The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) will support customers in the North American region (Canada, USA, Mexico). This is a high visibility sales position and they will be the primary contact for customers in these markets. TSR responsibilities are to develop relationships with customers and grow accounts through the promotion and selling of various types of synthetic fibers into the filtration, specialty paper, and wet-laid nonwoven markets. The ideal candidate would live in either the Northeast or Upper Mid-West portion of the U.S.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Grow sales dollars and volume, while optimizing profitability, by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Deliver growth of filtration, specialty paper, and wet-laid nonwoven markets.
- Provide technical customer assistance.
- Conduct negotiations with customers.
- Document accurate reports and territory analysis in a timely manner.
- Deliver guidance to technical departments and provide insight and recommendations on current market trends to meet our customer needs.
- Plan and carry out projects, with direction from management, using active communication and documentation of sales efforts in ACT! CRM.
- Deliver on project objectives in the initiation, design, development, and optimization of wet-laid nonwoven and filtration markets.
- Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause, develop and recommend solutions.
- Develop sales plan for assigned territory including recommended accounts, product sales volumes, and pricing. The plan includes call allocation, account potential analysis, and sales budgeting.
- Enter and maintain opportunities and customer/prospect contact information in ACT! in a timely fashion.
- Maintain advanced travel itinerary in Outlook and ACT! in a timely fashion.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University (BS in Chemistry or similar field is a plus).
- 2-4 years of experience in a wet-laid nonwovens role, with an understanding of the manufacturing processes utilized in the engineering of filtration, specialty paper, and wet-laid nonwoven products.
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time throughout the United States (some international travel is possible). Ability to obtain a valid passport (for international travel).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR and meet the requirements of the company vehicle policy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, or as part of a team, to complete projects within required timeframes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Must be adaptable and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varied work requirements.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
- CRM Skills (ACT!, Salesforce, etc.)
