In its effort to support the needs of companies in the forest products industry during the global pandemic, the Biorenewable Deployment Consortium (BDC) will provide a series of webinars once or twice a month on both short-term and long-term opportunities.
The webinars will feature world-class speakers and be completed in one hour, including time for Q&A. With input from its advisors and members, BDC has selected several industry-critical topics.
“During this unparalleled time of economic uncertainty, BDC, now more than ever, will do its best to continue to provide value to its members through this webinar series,” said Masood Akhtar, president and co-founder of BDC.
The webinar series kicked off on Thursday, April 30, addressing energy savings in the pulp mill and on the paper machines. Upcoming confirmed webinars will focus on Alternative Fuels for Recauticizing Operations, Methanol Extraction and Purification, Bleach Plant Operations, and Converting Mill Sludge to Solid Boiler Fuel.
The BDC supports the forest products industry by promoting the deployment of commercially viable advanced biofuels, biochemicals, and byproducts technologies that do not require long term subsidy and optimizing efficiency in order to get the most value from the tree. BDC members have unlimited access to all live and archived webinars and events on the BDC website. For more information, visit BDC at www.biorenewabledc.org.
