TAPPI’s Yankee Dryer Safety and Reliability Committee 2020 Spring Meeting was held May 12-14 as a free event providing an opportunity for Tissue professionals around the globe to contribute toward solving Yankee Dryer issues challenging the industry. Yankee Dryers are one of the most dangerous and costly pieces of equipment of a tissue mill. TAPPI’s Yankee Dryer Committee’s goal is to develop standard practices, methods and solutions to ensure effective operations and maintenance while also improving the levels of safety associated with its operation.
With over 140 registrants representing production, converting, and suppliers, there was a perfect mix of opinion to ensure high quality content from a neutral position. Attendees of the meeting gained insights to solve specific problems while networking with other professionals in the field.
