Palm Aalen will equip the new PM 5 stock preparation and paper machine with sensors and instrumentation from BTG.
According to the company’s project team, “BTG’s knowledge in accurate measurement and control, further platforming potential and innovative control concepts have all contributed to Palm’s decision to choose BTG for the new and highly innovative approach to produce Linerboard on the new PM 5”.
Variations in ash content can have one of the largest impacts on the most important paper properties in linerboard production. “In combination with Palm’s latest investment in BTG’s data management software (dataPARC™), the combined capability of hardware and software will facilitate the ability to deliver extensive economic benefits”, says Roland Berger, Head of Pulp & Paper EMEA.
