We honor David H. Paterson who spent 30 years as executive of the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association. He passed away on November 28, 2020. We extend our sympathy and condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.
David was a chemical engineer that graduated from Nova Scotia Tech in 1958. His career led him to head the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association, now known as the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC).
David H. Paterson had numerous hobbies and pursuits. Throughout his life and beyond his career in the industry, he was a scout, trombone player, debater, skier, golfer, tennis player, dancer, lobster enthusiast, model railroader, model boater, oenophile and traveler. David died in his 86th year and rejoined his beloved wife, Pauline (Kovachik).
He will be missed but remembered for his numerous accomplishments and legacy shown in his career and life.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A private burial will take place at a later date. However, you can donate in David’s memory to the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association. https://www.chpca.ca/donate
