Metsä Spring has appointed Mikko Himanen as Process Specialist as of 21 June 2021. In this new position he is working for the project focused on developing new 3D fibre products and production technology.
Before joining Metsä Spring, Mr. Himanen worked at Metsä Tissue. His latest position at Metsä Tissue was as a process operator of the Mänttä mill. Before that Mikko has worked for years in PM operations at different UPM paper mills.
Metsä Spring is Metsä Group’s innovation company. Metsä Spring invests worldwide in promising young enterprises (startups) and conducts R&D activities also on its own. All ideas within the Metsä Spring portfolio must have a strong link to the Metsä Group business ecosystem. Hence, the goal of Metsä Spring is to strengthen the ecosystem in the long run.
Mr. Himanen reports to Metsä Spring’s Technology Manager Veli-Matti Hulkko.
