Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (KCPM) has an-nounced it will be the first packaging producer in the Ukrainian market to install a value line corrugator supplied by Germany’s BHS Corru-gated. The device will be installed at KCPM’s new corrugated factory in Verkhnedneprovsk, enabling the producer to make five-layer cor-rugated board.
The equipment is designed for a maximum speed of 300 m per mi-nute, the Ukrainian company said in a statement.
“As part of our development strategy, we plan to increase our pres-ence in the regions and double production volumes in the next five years,” said Igor Oleshchuk, the chairman of the board at KCPM.
The value of the latest acquisition was not disclosed.
KCPM is owned by Austria's group Pulp Mill Holding, and it supplies its output to some 700 Ukrainian companies and foreign buyers, ac-cording to data from the producer.
