Innovative Technical Solutions Sought for TAPPICon 2022
TAPPICon is the premier technical conference developed to help mills identify technology solutions to address the challenges of our industry, often exacerbated by the confluence of attrition through retirement and retention of Young Professionals. With the theme, “Racing Towards a Smart Future,” TAPPICon 2022, May 1-4 in Charlotte, N.C., focuses on key segments including paper, tissue, recycled paperboard and reliability/maintenance. Experts are invited to speak at this prestigious event and share their latest advancement, technical success or case study with the industry. To be considered as a speaker, SMEs should submit an abstract by November 1, 2021.
Abstracts are sought for topics within the following program tracks:
- Coating and Graphic Arts
Attracting professionals from all areas of the paper and board coating, converting and graphic arts industries, the track focuses on emerging solutions in areas such as packaging, label, and digital coating applications; novel coating and process technologies; printing and graphic arts; and coating and finishing.
- Papermaking
Focused on innovations in the paper machine area and how they can help renew good performance on the machines, the track encourages papermakers to rethink their processes and redefine success.
- Papermaking Additives
Exploring innovative developments in papermaking additives, the track also highlights the best use of current state-of-the-art technology as well as both incremental optimization and non-incremental advancements in technology.
- Papermaking Fundamentals
This track addresses the latest advancements in our fundamental understandings of wood fibers, process phenomena and product performance at both low and high solids content.
- PIMA Management
Providing managers with strategies on how to better run organizations, the track offers insight, tools, and techniques for all levels of experience in areas of digitalization, multigenerational leadership, and more.
- Process Control
Addressing key topics related to process measurement and control, the track focuses on WIS and machine vision, analytics and monitoring, MD and CD control, measurement technologies, field devices, QCS, and DCS.
- Recycled Paperboard
Attracting production and technical personnel from recycled paper mills, the track focuses on topics relevant to manufacturers of high-recycle content grades such as multi-ply paperboard, containerboard, tube and core, and gypsum liner.
- Reliability & Maintenance
Machine reliability and maintenance issues are frequently complex, and the solutions require special tools and expertise that are not always available. The tracks offers attendees solutions and case studies of where equipment failure was averted and money was saved.
- Tissue
Drawing tissue professionals from all areas within manufacturing, converting and supply, the tracks focuses on on-going and emerging topics including production/conversion of tissue, sustainability, quality improvement, data management and new technologies.
