TAPPI Connect’s Ask The Expert Series Continues next Friday, February 11
Lime Kilns and Recausticizing: The Forgotten Part of a Kraft Mill
Friday, February 11, 2022
10:00am to 12:00pm EDT
No Cost! Just log in to TAPPI Connect to participate.
This live online event will be led by experts Peter Hart, who specializes in pulping, bleaching, evaporators, chemical recovery, recausticization, refining, and wet end chemistry, and is currently Director of Fiber Science and Innovation at WestRock, and Glenn Hanson III, who currently works as Pyro Technical Sales Support for Metso Outotec in the North and Central Americas Region.
This two-hour live Q&A event will focus on addressing issues and questions about Lime Kilns, the operation of the calcium cycle, and this area of the kraft mill that is often overlooked in reference materials.
Hart and Hanson are both editors, along with Richard Manning, of Lime Kilns and Recausticizing: The Forgotten Part of a Kraft Mill, a recently-released TAPPI PRESS book.
During this live event, you can post your questions on the Open Forum feed. Hart and Hanson will respond as quickly as possible. If they do not have an opportunity to respond to your question during the event, the question will be addressed within the next week. This live session will also be archived and accessible after the event.
To attend, all you need to do is log in at 10:00am (or any time before it ends at noon) on Friday, Feb 11.
