TAPPI Industry Career Center: Andritz USA Seeks a Mechanical Designer/Engineer

ANDRITZ (PKP-Fiberline) is seeking a self-motivated individual to work within their engineering group. The specific focus will be Andritz cooking equipment although some Fiberline equipment will be involved as well. This position will report to Glens Falls, NY.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Engineering and mechanical design of industrial machinery utilizing AutoCAD and Inventor
• Development of new equipment and improvements to existing equipment
• Product Data Management and maintenance of product related sizing and calculation tools
• Problem solving equipment performance issues in the field
• QA/QC inspections of equipment
•  Professional interaction with important customers
• Work with minimal supervision, independently; ability to prioritize and organize work, to meet deadlines.
•  Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport)

 Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology
  • Or 8+ years of related experience with industrial machines and machine design
• Experience with industrial machines desired
• Experience in providing on-site inspections of in-progress work pieces
