Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has been appointed as the exclusive packaging provider for one of Europe’s largest fashion enterprises. Following a product trial earlier this year, Mondi will support MODIVO in switching from the standard rigid packaging currently used in the distribution of the e-retailer’s full collection of shoes, bags and clothes.
In its analysis of a customer’s packaging requirements, Mondi reviews Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and includes each touchpoint of the supply chain. Mondi’s unique customer centric EcoSolutions approach centres on listening to customer needs and careful investigation of all potential solutions.

When partnering with a customer, our focus is on decreasing total packaging costs, reducing waste, and meeting end-consumer needs. This means our customers can choose the packaging solutions that will be of most value to them, from kraft and functional barrier paper, to paper bags through to corrugated solutions,'' said Nedim Nisic, Mondi Group eCommerce Director.

For MODIVO, the optimisation of their packaging portfolio was based on products shipped and has resulted in most orders now utilising Mondi’s innovative MailerBAGs. These completely re-usable and recyclable paper bags are available in three designs to protect products without transporting too much air.
