2023 BDC Fall Forum is Here! Adding Value with Biorenewable Processes / Commercial Progress

The BDC event will be held at the Omni Parker House Hotel in downtown Boston. This event will be connecting emerging technology with industry partners to accelerate deployment and maximize value from the tree. Plan your travel to arrive in Boston on Monday, September 25 and depart after the tour of Via Separations on Wednesday, September 27. You’ll hear about public private partnerships (a key to minimizing risks while increasing chances of commercial success); and de-risking lignin removal projects by turning them into business propositions with firm capital costs and offtake contracts. You’ll get to touch and feel a new and innovative technology that has the potential to reduce energy significantly used to evaporate black liquor; and networking that leads to brokering partnerships to accelerate further deployment.

Space is limited, so register today to secure your place at the annual Fall Event!

Keynote Speaker: Mark Daniel, Vice President SBS Mills, Graphic Packaging International

Mark Daniel, VP, Graphic Packaging International (GPI), will provide comments to kick off the Fall Forum with the company's success factors for achieving innovation and sustainability. Strong global forces are driving changes in the packaging industry. More goods need to be packed and shipped to address the needs of a growing urban population, while at the same time packaging needs to transform to reduce carbon emissions and minimize waste. Consumers are also demanding that products — and the packaging that protects them — are safe and free of chemicals that may cause harm to people and the planet. GPI is stepping up to these challenges by delivering an innovative product portfolio that starts with renewable and recycled fiber raw materials and embraces product recyclability after use. Ninety-five percent of GPI's paperboard products are recyclable, and for those that aren’t widely accepted for recycling at this time, GPI partners with its value chain to develop solutions to increase acceptance so they can recover those valuable fibers to make new products.
