TAPPI’s Lake States and North Central PIMA Local Sections to Present Special Energy Forum on November 2

TAPPI’s Lake States and Central PIMA Local Sections have announced the opening of registration for their Thursday, November 2 Energy Forum. This day-long event is taking place at the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah, WI.

Marc Keyser, Director of Seams Coordination, Member Services and Customer Coordination, MISO, will provide the keynote titled “Reliability in Transition” beginning at 8:15, following a brief welcome and introduction by Conference organizer Dan Goymerac, Vice President, Business Development, Miron Construction. Morning topics range from decarbonization and electrification to a presentation from the Wisconsin Paper Council Energy Committee. Following lunch, speakers will focus on energy savings and consumption, steel dryers and dryer hood operations.

“I highly recommend this conference to anyone involved in the paper industry focused on energy consumption and savings, water conservation, and dryer operations,” said Goymerac. “It’s an incredible amount of useful information packed into one day.”

Full program details are available on the Lake States website. This one-of-a-kind event brings together industry stakeholders to delve into various energy issues and offers a full day of informative sessions, peer networking and partnership building.

Space is limited to 75 people for this event, so it is important to register early. General registration is $50, but there are also significant discounts offered for mill employees, students, faculty and retirees. Onsite registration is also available, pending space availability. Advance registration deadline is November 1.
