Hood Container Corporation announced that it has acquired the corrugated packaging business of Sumter Packaging Corporation based in Sumter, South Carolina. This includes all of Sumter's design, manufacturing, assembly and fulfillment operations in Sumter, SC, as well as the business manufactured and serviced from the Statesville, North Carolina facility.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hood Container operates locations in seventeen states. The company also owns and operates linerboard, medium, and multiwall paper manufacturing operations in New Johnsonville, Tennessee and St. Francisville, Louisiana.
