2024 TAPPI Nano special topics include three additional focus areas:
1. Development of CNM in Environmental Defense: the development of cellulose nanomaterial in plant/crop protection (e.g., drought, fire, and pathogens), soil erosion, desert reclamation, and biomass production.
2. Preserving Product Quality in the Supply Chain: dewatering technologies, temperature management, stability, redispersion, etc., during transportation and storage.
3. CNMs in Functional Applications: This topic focuses on understanding which cellulose nanomaterial (fibril or crystal) is needed to achieve desired performance in applications such as biomedical and electronics.

The Student Poster Session and Competition is open to young professionals and students; cash prizes are available.

The New Technology Showcase is also part of the TAPPI Nano 2024 program, providing companies an unparalleled platform to share the latest technologies and advancements developed last year.
