FRA Announces Interim President

The Board of Directors of the Forest Resources Association (FRA) has named Tim O’Hara Interim President. Mr. O’Hara succeeds Keith Gray, who has resigned from his position as President of the Association.

Mr. O’Hara joined FRA in 2018 as Government Affairs and Lake States Region Manager. He was promoted to Vice President of Government Affairs in 2020, leading the Association’s lobbying and policy efforts.

FRA Chairman of the Board Pete Stewart, President and CEO of ResourceWise, stated that Mr. O’Hara’s policy expertise and deep knowledge of the industry will continue to serve FRA well. “With 30 years of experience in the forest products industry, Tim brings a wealth of experience and expertise to FRA at an important time,” Stewart said. “He has made a tremendous impact during his tenure at FRA to date, and we have no doubt he will continue this momentum as FRA’s Interim President. The strength of our skilled Association staff will allow FRA to continue to advance the critical policy and business issues we face.”

“I want to thank the membership for the opportunity to serve as President of FRA,” Mr. Gray said. “I am resigning for personal reasons, and I wish FRA success in the future.”

The Forest Resources Association represents the interests of over 330 organizations and businesses in the forest products industry. Our members are represented in 49 states and 384 congressional districts and include forest landowners, suppliers, consuming mills, associated businesses, and state forestry associations. FRA promotes the interests of its members in the economic, efficient, and sustainable use of forest resources to meet the needs of the wood fiber supply chain through private enterprise.
