Valmet and Kruger Products Celebrate the Successful Start-Up of an Advantage DCT 200 TS Tissue Machine at the Sherbrooke Plant, Quebec, Canada

Valmet has successfully started up an Advantage DCT 200 TS tissue machine at Kruger Products’ Sherbrooke Tissue Plant in Quebec, Canada. It marks a significant achievement in a project that has been well-executed from start to finish.

The new tissue machine marks a major milestone for Kruger Products, which recently produced its first paper roll on the reel, with a bath product. The smooth production of this first roll is a testament to the hard work, precision, and teamwork demonstrated throughout the project.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the successful start-up of the Advantage DCT 200 TS tissue machine in partnership with Valmet, which reflects the strength of our collaboration and our shared commitment to innovation,” said Dino Bianco, CEO of Kruger Products. “With the success of this project, we’re not just delivering a world-class product, but also advancing our vision of becoming the most trusted and best-loved tissue company in North America.”

Valmet’s delivery included Advantage DCT technology, which offers a reliable concept for production of conventional tissue paper at the highest speed and production output. It also enables sustainable production of high-quality tissue with low energy and water consumption, high efficiency, and reliability at low operational cost.

“The project began in early 2022 and has maintained a consistent schedule throughout each phase – engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and start-up. The success of this project is a testament to the close collaboration between Valmet and Kruger Products, reflecting a shared commitment to excellence,” said Soren Eriksson, Director of Sales, Tissue, North America, Valmet.
