Who should attend?
This introductory workshop is designed for new and experienced process engineers, operators, technicians, as well as sales and service personnel. It aims to enhance your understanding of core processes, expanding your knowledge base to improve your role’s effectiveness. If you want a well-rounded understanding of the paper industry, from the woodyard to the final product, this workshop is perfect for you.
What will you learn?
During the workshop, you'll explore how various processes impact paper properties. You'll also engage in lab experiments to deepen your process knowledge and have the opportunity to operate a pilot-plant paper machine. The program includes morning presentations and hands-on laboratory exercises in the afternoons. Topics covered include wood structure and chemistry, chemical and mechanical pulping operations, stock preparation, as well as the importance of chemical recovery and environmental regulations in pulp mills.
